TC Bolts at Bristol Machine Company

Tension Control Bolts, or TC Bolts, at Bristol Machine Company consists of 1 bolt, 1 nut and 1 washer and incorporate a button head configuration design for an increased load bearing area. TC Bolts are designed with a spline drive on the threaded end of the bolt to ensure that repeatable tension levels are achieved with each installation. The thread length of TC Bolts are per ASTM specifications.

TC Bolts at Bristol Machine Company are interchangeable with other high tensile fasteners and use standard bolt hole size. TC Bolts are installed using an electric shear wrench (TONE) which has an outer socket that turns the nut counterclockwise, while grabbing the spline with the inner socket turning it clockwise. Once the required tension level is reached, the spline snaps off which indicated proper installtion. TC Bolts also do not require tool calibration for installtion and provide an extended tool life due to no over-torqueing.
